What do Giant Pandas eat?

Most people think that Giant Pandas usually eat bamboo. That is true, most of their diet is bamboo. But there are some other things that they eat too. For example, they eat eggs, small animals, carrion, fruits, and vegetables. Giant Pandas eat 26 to 84 pounds of bamboo everyday. They really do eat a lot.

There are a lot of cool facts about Giant Pandas! I'm only going to list a few, but you can always click on the link on the top of the page to learn more! Let's get started. A Giant Pandas life span is about 15 to 20 years in the wild, but some Pandas from the care of humans have lived up to 30 years. A Giant Panda has 6 fingers! Something that I thought was cool is that they can climb up to 13,000 feet! I don't know how they do that! They also don't hibernate, because they cannot stop eating.

Here is a list of ways to help the Giant Panda population to get higher!

  1. Start using less paper
  2. You could sponser a panda
  3. You could tell others how important protecing pandas are. (And other animals too.)
  4. You can try your best to travel less in vehicles and start walking or biking.
  5. Stop cutting down trees. They are very important to the world.
  6. Start recycling plastic and other things instead of throwing them on the ground.
  7. There are so many other ways to help!

As you can see, there are many ways to help Giant Pandas. There are only 1,800 Giant Pandas left in the wild at 2022. There are about 400 in captivity. You have now learned some facts about Giant Pandas.
